Marvin Williams tied a Bremerton High School boys basketball record with 42 points in a 74-59 Narrows League Bridge Division win over North Kitsap Wednesday night.
And, as if 42 points weren't enough, he added 25 rebounds.
"We went cuckoo tonight," Bremerton coach Casey Lindberg said.
Williams' previous career high was 37 points scored in December when the Knights were playing in a tournament in Fort Meyers, Fla.
Rick Walker, currently the boys basketball coach at King's West, also scored 42 when he played at East Bremerton in 1974.
The win moves the Knights into a tie for third place in the Bridge Division.
But it wasn't all good news for Bremerton. Guard Phil Houston, the team's second-leading scorer behind Williams, didn't play because of pancreatitis. He will be out at least three weeks.
